9. Discover hidden waterfalls

Kaua'i is loaded with magnificent waterfalls, ranging from 30 feet to over 2,000 feet in the Wai'ale'ale Crater. While some of these masterpieces can only be seen via helicopter flights (such as those in the Crater and the famous Manawaiopuna falls featured in Jurassic Park), many great ones are only a short hike or drive away. There's 'Opaeka'a Falls and Wailua Falls on the east shore, and Hanakapi'ai Falls on the North shore which shouldn't be missed. An idyllic lunch spot is at Ho'opi'i Falls which requires a short (less than 30 minute) hike; be sure to bring the bug spray to this spot, though, as mosquitoes can be bothersome. A little further upstream is Unnamed Falls, which is about 30 feet high and often used by locals (and adventuresome visitors) to jump off.

10. Enjoy the beauty of Ke'e Beach at sunset

Ke'e marks the official beginning of the Na Pali coast, and is the perfect ending to any day spent on Kaua'i. Whether you're traveling as honeymooners or a family, this is one spot not to be missed. Be sure to walk beyond the beach to catch a glimpse of the stellar Na Pali coast during dusk; it's an experience that will last a lifetime.
