aua'i's North Shore is what we fell in love with, and is the reason we came to Kaua'i. The overwhelming
beauty of the North Shore is paralleled by few other places on earth, and when you visit, you too will understand our
passion (and undoubtedly that of countless others) for this paradise.
One thing the North Shore is not is boring; here is a list of activities to consider while roaming around:
| Horseback Riding |
Yep, there's even horses on Kaua'i. If you want to play cowboy for a day, think about hitching up at the Princeville Ranch (in
Princeville) for a guided tour. The ride takes you to Kalihiwai Falls and along bluffs overlooking 'Anini Reef, and includes a picnic-style lunch.
No prior horseback riding experience is necessary, and private rides are available.
Silver Falls Ranch in the Kalihiwai Ridge valley also offers North Shore rides.
Kilauea Lighthouse |

The Kilauea Lighthouse sits at Kilauea Point (in Kilauea) and is actually marketed as a wildlife haven for hundreds of sea birds. But you don't have to be
a bird to enjoy the magnificent views over the Pacific Ocean to enjoy the lighthouse; the lighthouse is perched on a high cliff overlooking the open sea. The site is
open year-round (except for major holidays), and entrance is free.

Golfing |

If you're a golf fanatic, the Prince Makai Course is sure to please. Consistently rated by Golf Digest as one of the America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses, the Prince Course
is a challenging and extremely scenic course situated on the cliffs at Princeville.
Also located oceanside at the Princeville Resort is the Prince Course
which is slightly more challenging and, yes, more expensive.
