A smaller beach with true local flavor, Black Pot is situated at the mouth of the Hanalei River on the northeast shore of Hanalei Bay. Most frequented by kama'ainas (long time Hawaiian locals), Black Pot is typically uncrowded, and has a large freshwater lagoon where the river empties into the bay. There's an old fishing pier at Black Pot, and you will often see people (usually smaller kids) jumping off the pier into the water.
